Macallan 1980 Matron's Millennium Malt 18 Year Old

This rare bottling was privately bottled for the Nevis Estate and its owner, the theatre director Cameron Mackintosh (nicknamed Matron).

A 1980 vintage, this is a specially labelled version of the classic 18-year-old produced by the distillery for the 15,000 acre Nevis Estate which stands at the base of the UK's highest mountain. The land is owned by world-renowned theatrical producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh, whose famous works includes Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Oliver!, and Hamilton. It is not clear how many of these rare bottlings were produced to celebrate the turning of the millennium.
